TM Events + Social, established in 2017 by husband and wife duo, Tomas and Claire Belba, is a multi-service wedding, event + entertainment company based in Metro Detroit, Michigan. Previously known as Tomas Muzik; as our team and services have expanded + transformed, so has our brand.

Meet our team:

Tomas Belba

Founder + Lead DJ

Starting on the decks as a 12 year old in Europe, Tomas Belba had a deep passion for mixing music from early on. From making his friends mix-tapes to DJing day-parties, he learned the power of music + the beauty of how it brings people together.

After being introduced to the wedding industry through a friend, he realized there was still a serious need for professionalism and genuine care that was often lacking, when celebrating such a monumental day.

And so he set out to change the tune — literally.

Claire Belba

Lead Event Planner + Content Creator

The ying to the yang, Claire always knew she had a deep love for events — weddings in particular. As a musical theater kid growing up, there was just something missing in adulthood, without “putting on the production”. She first joined Tomas as a DJ + MC, to get back into music + running the show.

That quickly re-inspired her to follow her childhood dream and pursue Wedding Planning in a facet where she thrived the most. As a Marketing Project Manager by professional trade, Event Coordination was entirely second nature, and she’s since become committed to making wedding visions come to life!

TM Fam Fact: Tomas + Claire have been together for more than a decade. And despite not knowing it at the time, Tomas DJ’d Claire’s Senior High School Prom! When they’re not making wedding magic happen, they can be found traveling

Erika Sheeran

Senior Event Coordinator

With a background in graphic design + marketing, Erika fell in love with the process of planning her own wedding. Known as the one who always hosted the parties, as she journeyed into motherhood, she started looking for alternatives to her Corporate Marketing job — and when Claire was ready for a second set of hands, it was a no-brainer that it had to be Erika.

Now, as a mother of 2 beautiful little boys, event coordinating is her passion project when she’s not chasing them around!

Kevin Cairns

Senior DJ + MC

DJ Kevin has a serious passion for music production + all things lighting. Having spent a number of years working at a recording studio in Chicago, Kevin took a break from the formal DJ performance scene, until joining TM Events + Social.

Kevin’s favorite place to be is his in-home studio accompanied by his trusty sidekick, Parker [the best dog].

Maggie Cairns

Associate Event Coordinator

Kevin’s other half , Maggie. She has an eye for design + detail, as a professional Product Manager, with a background in Fashion + Interior Design.

Previously, Maggie was a Bridal Stylist - helping brides find the perfect outfits for all their special moments. Unsurprisingly with her passion for fashion, she is known for throwing together the trendiest looks + having the dreamiest closet.

Nick Bertsos

Senior DJ + MC

Math teacher by day, ukelele teacher in the evenings…and both a DJ and band member on the weekends — DJ Nick really is the jack of all trades.

As the first to officially join our TM family, when he’s not doing whipping up some mash-ups in his spare time, you can find him eating his wife’s delicious baked goods — she’s a professional baker, after all!

TM Fam Fact: Tomas + Nick used to teach at a high school together!

Nicolette Morrison

Senior Event Coordinator

Wedding Coordinating for the past four years, Nicolette is the woman on the wedding mission!

Detailed to the tee — when she’s not running around, ensuring every piece of wedding decor is exactly where it needs, she can be found spending time with her one-year-old daughter, Adelynn!
